This paper analyzes the results of a questionnaire on English teachers’ licenses. To gain insight into the students’ image and understanding of English teachers, the questionnaire was administered online to 123 undergraduates of Department of Intercultural Studies. Participants included students who have taken the teacher-training course, those who stopped taking the course, and those who were not interested in the course. The study mainly targeted freshmen and sophomore students. heir answers provided information about their knowledge of English teachers and potential problems concerning English teachers’ licenses. Results showed that some students had stereotypical beliefs about English teachers. Further, even those who wanted to be English teachers had some basic questions and misconceptions about English teachers and their licenses. To solve these problems, we must provide sufficient information about the English teacher’s training course for students of Department of Intercultural Studies.
