This paper focuses on activities to promote Regional Creation from the field of fashion design. For three years from 2013 to this year, the team of Laboratory of Fashion Design and Planning at Yamaguchi Prefectural University has done fieldwork on Yuya, Nagato City, working on the branding of the rice terraces of Higashi Ushirobatake, which was selected as one of the Top100 Terraced Paddy Fields on Japan. At the same time, through joint research with Akie Abe(wife of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe) to create the mompekko( Japanese cotton working pants for women) label “Nou-Girl” (Agriculture Girls) Collection, we announced the products Mompekko and Tsunagikko 2016 at the Agri-Arts Festival 2016. In reference to the traditions of Yanai-jima stripes and Kuga-chijimi stripes, which are regional resources, we have developed Yamaguchi-jima takijima, and we added improvements on the pattern of the Mompekko 2015. We experimentally sold Mompekko and Salopekko at some places in Yamaguchi Prefecture and on the internet as well. In addition to the stores of Naru Naxeva itself, it is saled at seven stores in Yamaguchi prefecture, through the mail order of newspaper companies and mail order sales of Naru Naxeva, thus Mompekko has spread to people. Because its material is woven from yarn, it is highly original. In order to monitor the expression of design, patterns and details, we visited shops in the prefecture, etc., collected the opinions of users and repeatedly devised ingenuity. Depending on the design, fabric and pattern, vintage for each year is born. Mompekko's Fans are coming out and it is getting used not only for farm work but also for sports such as yoga and everyday wear.
