The structure of the ctenidium in the Densely lamellated oyster Ostrea denselamellosa was examined. The inhalent and exhalent orifices were located in the ventral side and dorsal side from the pallial fold to the apex, respectively. The left and right ctenidia were connected at their bases from the pallial fold to the labial palp. The gill type showed the heterorhabdic pseudolamellibranch: the primary filament and the ordinary filament were joined by the inner- filament connecting membrane and the inner-laminar connecting membrane.
