本稿は、自然体験が不足している保育者・教育者の自然観を育成する補助的手段として、種田山頭火の俳句の意義を検討する。予測処理理論を手がかりに、自然を感じ取る経験は過去の体験に依存することを踏まえ、文学による間接的経験の可能性を論じる。山頭火の俳句を「日常の自然」「身体感覚」「自然との一体化」という三側面から分析し、自然を対象化せず、生活と身体に結びついた環境として捉える自然観が、これからの環境教育において重要であることを示した。
