Overseas training programs can provide the students opportunities to go outside of Japan. By looking at Japan and its culture from outside of Japan with global perspectives, students might be able to discover beauties and strengths in their own local communities, or might be able to find the clues to solve various problems. The programs using the Project-Based-Learning(PBL) approach is especially effective to cultivate students’ global perspectives and critical thinking skills. This paper reports on an educational oversea program, “Blue-Bird-Project” conducted in Changwon city in Korea from September 16th to September 24th, 2015. The program was carried out with Kyungnam University and Changwon city.
