The entire world was affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020, during which many opinions were voiced about innovation in the context of Japan. These opinions include reforming society, economy, and politics. Humanities scholars criticized the lack of knowledge of humanities in Japan’s politics.Social activists unveiled the poverty of Japanese society and criticized the neo-liberalistic economy policy. However, Japan’s Biggest Zaikai pressure group suggested more digitalization of Japanese society and innovation of Japanese capitalism to become more “sustainable.” This study outlines the structure of these opinions and discusses the confrontation between the perspectives of “maintain this regime” and “overcome this regime.”In addition, different articles on these topics are discussed and different perspectives are analyzed.
