The present study reanalyzed the data set from Kuramashi et al. (2015) and examined how much extensive reading would affect beginners' intrinsic motivation and their proficiency level of English. As a result of a multiple regression analysis,extensive reading was not statistically inftuential either to the intrinsic motivation or proficiency variables.
