大学生が抱く高齢者イメージに関する日韓比較 : 多主体間の長寿文化共有の試み

本研究の目的は、日本と韓国の大学生が高齢者に対して抱いているイメージを考察することである。本稿ではSD法を用いたアンケート調査を行い、大学生の高齢者への印象を測定した。日韓の大学生が抱いている高齢者イメージの種類、そのイメージの形成に影響を及ぼす情報や経験がわかる質問項目を用いた。調査の結果、両国の若者に共通した高齢者イメージとして肯定的なものは｢経験が多い｣｢尊敬できる｣｢賢明だ｣｢上品だ｣があげられ、否定的なものは｢遅い｣｢暇だ｣などが観察された。両国に差異が大きかった項目は｢保守的｣｢閉鎖的｣であった。全体的には両国の大学生の高齢者イメージは類似点が多かった。

The purpose of this research is to examine perceptions relating to elderly people amongst university students in Korea and Japan. Students' perceptions were measured using a questionnaire and analyzed using the SD method. The questionnaire was structured to elicit types of perceptions held relating to elderly people and to obtain information regarding stereotypes young people hold about elderly people. In positive terms, both Korean and Japanese university students regard elderly people as“experienced”, “worthy of respect”, “wise”, and “elegant”, however, in negative terms, both groups of students also consider elderly people to be “slow” and “leisured”. Students' perceptions regarding elderly people as “conservative” and “unsociable” showed a significant degree of variation. Overall, it can be seen that university students from both countries have similar perspectives on elderly people.
