医療福祉系大学生の学業に対するリアリティショックとその対処の現状

Current situation of university students majoring in healthcare and welfare regarding reality shock and coping behavior in schoolwork

本研究では、医療福祉系大学生の学業に対するリアリティショックの現状を明らかにするために、看護学科、栄養学科、社会福祉学科の学生126名を対象として選択式質問紙調査を実施した。学業に関連する15項目の中で、過半数の学生がリアリティショックを感じた項目は、講義に関して「ゆとりが無い」「楽しくない」「理解できない」、実習・演習に関して「ゆとりが無い」「難しい」と「能力が劣ると感じる」であった。これら6項目全てにおいて，リアリティショックを克服できていない学生の方が、克服できた学生よりも多かった。また、何の対処もしなかった学生の方が、誰かに相談する等の何らかの対処を行った学生よりも多かった。

This study investigated the current situation of university students majoring healthcare and welfare with respect to the reality shock they perceive in schoolwork. A multiple-choice questionnaire was conducted among 126 students majoring nursing, nutrition, and social welfare. Among 15 question items, 6 were considered to correlate to reality shock with the majority of the students: lectures being“ overwhelming,”“ unstimulating,” or “incomprehensible,” along with practices/exercises being“ overwhelming,”“ hard to deal with,” and“ demanding for much higher skills.” Of those, the students who had been unsuccessful to overcome their reality shock outnumbered the ones who could. Also, the students who did not take on any coping behaviors outnumbered the ones who did, for example by consulting someone.
