TOEIC Test has been playing a very important role not only in the evaluation of English ability of adults in the various workplaces but also in that of the English teaching in universities and colleges in Japan. A certain target score in TOEIC test has become, de facto, a criterion of JABEE (Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education) In order to reach the target score of TOEIC test, we introduced a small test in the ordinary English classes. In addition we opened a new class for TOEIC test. We would like to examine an analysis of the small tests and the results of TOEIC IP test which we have encouraged students to take for some years. We also would like to propose a strategy for the TOEIC IP test based on the analysis.
