Descriptions
We attempted to select the most suitable force-distance relation between a dislocation and the monovalent cation impurity among the three models, which are a square force-distance relation, a parabolic one, and a triangular one taking account of the Friedel relation. Groping for the most suitable force-distance relation was conducted by the dependence of strain-rate sensitivity due to the impurities on temperature. However, it was difficult to select the most suitable of the three at 80-300 K for the two kinds of specimens: KCl:Li+ (LiCl 0.5 mol% in the melt) and KCl:Na+ (NaCl 0.5 mol% in the melt).
