Descriptions
The corrosion resin-casts and the tissue preparations (Azan staining) of the digestive diverticula of the Black-lip pearl oyster, Pinctada margaritifera were observed. The digestive diverticula surrounded the stomach except on the dorsal side. The orifices of the multiple ducts located at five embayments of the stomach. Internal wall of the duct from the orifice to the apex was covered with the cilia. Each tubule extended to the end of the duct (Simple branching type II).
