The effect of narrative-based support on the activity level of a centenarian was studied. Focusing on the quantitative change of utterance, it was shown that narrative-based support can be an effective method to improve the activity level of the subject. Continuously offered support without prolonged interruption is suggested to be necessary to maintain the activity level of the subject.
百寿者との間で継続的に行われている”語り”を通した支援が百寿者の活動レベルに及ぼす効果について検討した。発語量の変化に着目することで、”語り”を通した支援が百寿者の活動レベルを向上させるうえで有効である可能性が示された。その際、長期の中断期間を作らず、継続して”語り”の機会を提供することが、百寿者の活動レベルを維持するうえで大切であることが示唆された。
