服飾デザインと地域資源のレジリエンス : スーパーグローバル・ファッションワークショップ2019とアグリアート・フェスティバル2019を事例として

Clothing design and resilience of regional resources : Case studies of the Super Global Fashion Design Workshop 2019 and the Agri-arts Festival 2019

日本では明治維新以後の西欧化により日本の伝統文化の衰退あるいは消滅の危機を迎え、大正末期に柳宗悦が民藝運動を起こして、地域固有の材料や技術を用いた民衆の芸術の研究調査と収集を行った。90年後の現在、地方創生の政策の元で、日本各地の地域資源である手工芸や伝統をフィールドとして、服飾デザインを通じた手漉き和紙や藍染さらに縞織を通したまちづくりに参加してきた。そこで、それぞれの地域あるいは個人がどのように地域資源のレジリエンスを具体化しているかについて、調査研究するとともに服飾創造を行うのがここでの目的である。レジリエンスの現状と概念規定については枝廣淳子の『レジリエンスとは何か』をまた、ここで重視している文化芸術での地域文化・産業の活性化あるいは創生の立場では、中川眞の『アートの力』の事例を参考にした。　具体的には本論は長門市で7 年間地域の農業文化・産業の復興を目的に取り組んできたアグリアート・フェスティバル2019と、複数以上の国の若者を対象とした国際交流による服飾造形の共創を目指すスーパーグローバル・ファッションワークショップ2019を事例として検討したものである。

In Japan, Westernization after the Meiji Restoration led to the decline or disappearance of Japanese traditional culture. At the end of the Taisho era, Muneyoshi Yanagi launched a folk art movement called ‘Mingei-undo’, during which he conducted a research study of popular art using local materials and techniques and collected popular art. Ninety years later, under the policy of regional revitalization, reconstruction activities such as handicrafts and traditional industries, which are local resources in various parts of Japan, are being carried out. The author has participated in handmade Japanese paper-making, indigo dyeing, and fabric-weaving workshops here in Yamaguchi Prefecture during the research of clothing design and community development. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to research and study how each region or individual embodies the resilience of local resources and to create clothing. For the current status of the concept of resilience, see "What is Resilience?", by Junko Edahiro. The emphasis on revitalizing or creating regional culture and industry in cultural arts, which we emphasize here, is based on the case of Shin Nakagawa's "Art no Chikara." Specifically, this paper focuses on the ‘Agri-art Festival 2019’, which has been working on the revival of agricultural culture and industry in the region for seven years, and the ‘Super Global Fashion Workshop 2019’ which aims for the co-creation of fashion modeling through international exchanges for young people from more than one country.
