The questionnaire survey about "embarrassment feeling" of the nursery teacher who took charge of the child with the behavioral traits of the developmental disorders was done. Subjects were 15 nursery teachers and 17 kindergarten teachers who participated in the training seminar of developmental disabilities for school teachers in the Yamaguchi Prefectural University.
Most nursery and kindergarten teacher felt generally the presence of the children with the behavioral traits of the developmental disorders in their institute. Only half of the children had be diagnosed as developmental disorders. Official support for the nursery institutes were more abundant than for kindergarten. The kindergarten teacher and the nursery teacher had the knowledge of the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). However, the supporting action for the children with ADHD was difficult in both teachers. The scores of burnout index in the kindergarten teachers having the classes was higher than that of the nursery teacher with the classes. The scores of all sub-categories of the burnout index in the nursery teachers having the children, diagnosed as the developmental disorders, were higher than those of the kindergarten teachers.
