On Ima-mairi, Kyogen Piece
Source Identifiers
Concerning Ima-mairi (or a newcomer), we made a consideration of the following points of the formation and plan : 1) Ima-mairi came into existence fairly early on in Daimyo Kyogen (which feudal lords play leading roles). 2) Ima-mairi in the Tensho Kyogen texts is the oldist form existing in the Kyogen texts. 3) The rhythmical dialogue at last scene of Ima-mairi functioned as a important core when it came into existance. 4) There is some possibility that the costume and wording of Ima-mairi was affected by them of Sanbaso (Kyogen part of Okina Sarugaku).
