わが国においてインクルーシブ教育システムの構築は重要な課題であり、インクルーシブ教育システムの実現のためには、各学校における教員が障害理解教育を実践する資質を十分に備えていることが必要である。本稿では、教職課程において行われる障害理解教育を実践できる教員の養成について、その現状と課題を明らかにすることを目的とした先行研究のレビューを行った。その結果、わが国においては多岐にわたる障害理解教育の実践が行われている一方で、障害理解教育を実践できる教員の養成については十分に行われていないことが明らかとなった。今後は、障害に関する十分な知識を有している、多様な手法による障害理解教育の実践を計画・実施できる、児童生徒における障害や障害者問題に対する理解の深まりや障害観や障害児・者への態度の変化を評価できる、等の障害理解教育を実践する際に必要な資質をどのように養成していくのかという点について検討する必要がある。

Building an inclusive education system is an important goal in Japan, and in order to realize it, it is necessary for teachers to have sufficient skills to impart education to deepen awareness of issues relating to disabilities and people with disabilities. In this paper, we reviewed previous studies aimed at clarifying the current situation and problems regarding the training of teachers who can impart education to deepen awareness of issues relating to disabilities and people with disabilities in the teaching profession. It was revealed that such training is not sufficiently carried out, while a wide range of education to deepen awareness of issues relating to disabilities and people with disabilities is being imparted for students in Japan.
