For Chinese people, study abroad is an important matter. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many countries implemented travel regulation policies. Except for the early part of 2020, however, long term residents, including international students, were allowed to enter Japan. Despite the COVID pandemic, some of the degree program students entered Japan from abroad. In addition, as soon as the international travel regulations ended, a huge number of non-degree students including kenkyusei（ research students） and language program students rushed to Japan.

The purpose of this study was to experimentally examine the effects of wearing masks and sunglasses on the impression rating of a person in a COVID-19 pandemic environment. In this study, two groups were set up for the degree of familiarity with the person of the stimulus, one with a first meeting and the other with a four-year personal relationship. The experiment was conducted with first-year and fourth-year undergraduates, and the results of impression ratings using the SD method showed that for females meeting for the first time, wearing a mask decreased familiarity with the stimulus more than with the standard stimulus. For males in the first meeting group, wearing sunglasses decreased forcefulness. In the group with higher intimacy, these impressions were not reduced. Cluster analysis using the participants' consciousness of their public appearance as the dependent variable revealed two clusters, one for the high and one for the low level of awareness of others. Comparing the two groups' ratings of men who met for the first time, the cluster with low awareness of others showed a decrease in forcefulness due to the wearing of the mask, whereas the cluster with high awareness of others showed no decrease in forcefulness.

During the COVID time, international students could not enter Japan easily. Until March 2022, regulation and deregulation for degree course students often changed in Japan. Like tourists, furthermore, non-degree shorter student mobility opened later. For exchange, research, and other short course students, they needed to wait until October 2022 to come to Japan.

In the 2000s, English-Medium Instruction (EMI) in non-English countries developed worldwide. Japan is one of these countries and the number of English-based students who cannot utilize Japanese language increased. Some of the Japanese universities offer dormitories for international students, who can gradually get used to learning the Japanese way of life after they arrive in Japan. Some of the universities also offer cultural exchange programs for EMI students. However, due to the COVID-19, the situation has changed.

To minimize the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Japanese government regulated the mobility of international visitors including students. Before March 2020, international students could enter Japan without restriction. During October and November 2020, a limited number of international students entered Japan with expensive air fares and a 14-day quarantine. However, except these months, many students, especially newly enrolled ones, could not enter Japan.

This paper examines : (1) the medical governance of infectious diseases in Taiwan based on the experience of infectious diseases and the background of medical governance reform, (2) the role of big data and digital technology in infectious disease control, (3) medical strategy and non-pharmaceutical intervention, and (4) socio-political viewpoints regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in Taiwan. It will be possible to confirm that Taiwan's non-pharmaceutical intervention strategies, including mask wearing, AHH practices, quarantine / quarantine, travel restrictions and the implementation of social distancing, are increasing the effectiveness of preventive measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the combination of extensive risk communication highlighting the importance of early border control, government leadership and preventive action has prevented Taiwan from locking down. These comprehensive preventive measures against COVID-19 in 2020 are more efficient and effective than those implemented during SARS in 2003, as well as immunoassay responses. In addition, democracy provided institutional support for vibrant civil society and synergies between state and civil society, strengthened the legitimacy of Taiwan's crisis governance, and enhanced voluntary compliance among citizens.

Due to the COVID-19, many countries including Japan have reinforced regulations at the borders. As many international students could not enter Japan due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some universities offered online education services as an alternate. On the other hand, since April 2020, many of international student livening in Japan have not been able to go back to their countries.

This research aims to examine the relationship between political connections and bank performance during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, with data sample comprising banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange （IDX）. The study employed a panel data linear regression and found an insignificant positive influence of political connections on banks' profitability. However, the result also indicates marginally lower profitability in politically connected banks compared to non-connected peers, and the event-study methodology reveals the tendency for affiliated banks to obtain substantial negative abnormal returns during the pandemic. Therefore, there is a negative effect of COVID-19 on stock performance of politically connected banks.

本研究は、新型コロナ感染症禍で小児看護学実習を行った学生の学びを明らかにすることを研究目的とした。 2021年度に小児看護学実習を実施した学生のうち本研究への協力を同意した49名の実習終了時に提出する「小児看護学実習評価表」の自由記載欄に記載された内容を研究対象とし分析を行った結果、5カテゴリー、10サブカテゴリ―が抽出された。 学生は臨地実習を通して、新生児期から思春期までの様々な発達段階の子ども達と接することによって【発達段階に応じた関わり方】を学んでいた。また、子どもという対象の特性を理解し、【観察することの重要性】やケア時には『家族の協力が必要不可欠』であり【小児看護における家族】という大切な視点を学び取っていた。そして、実際に小児へのケアを通して『正確に安全で素早いケアの実施』や『恐怖や不安を軽減させる関わり』という【処置/ケア時の援助】に必要な関わり方や『測定技術の難しさ』を学んでいた。また、自宅に帰ってからも家族がしっかり子どもの看護が出来るように看護師には【継続看護への支援】の役割があることを学んでいた。 今回の結果から、新型コロナ感染症禍で制限がある小児看護学実習でも臨地実習で習得すべき要素は学べていることが分かった。

本研究では、コロナ禍により影響を受けた妊娠・出産・育児の現状を明らかにするための予備調査を行うことを目的として、半構造化面接法を用いて調査を実施した。コロナ禍以前とコロナ禍での妊娠・出産・育児経験者している経産婦5 名の語りに、テキストマイニング分析を行い以下のことがわかった。 １．対象者が語るコロナ禍の影響は、調査項目「協力関係」「欲しいサポート」「出産」に示された。 ２．「協力関係」では協力を依頼したいけれど依頼しづらいというアンビバレントな実態がある。 ３．「欲しいサポート」では、三密回避や感染対策など、子ども連れの生活や行動では、種々の調整が必要とされるため、全般的なサポートを要求する。 ４．「出産」では、家族にとってのイベントの共有欲求の障害と妊婦としての出産に対する意識の高揚に影響する。

本研究では、コロナ禍における大学生のポジティブな変化を明らかにすることを目的として、選択式アンケート調査を実施した。コロナ禍の学生の3/4以上が人との関係性や価値観に関してポジティブな変化を感じていた。約半数の学生が習慣・行動に関してポジティブな変化を感じ、2 − 3 割の学生は身体的並びに精神的活力に関してポジティブな変化を感じていた。コロナ禍を経験した大学生が自身のポジティブな変化に気づき、それを成長の糧にすることが大切と考えられる。

本研究は、新型コロナ感染症で小児看護学実習を行った学生の技術の経験・習得状況を明らかにすることを目的として研究を行った。2021年度に小児看護学実習を実施した学生のうち本研究への協力を同意した者48名の実習終了時に提出する「小児看護技術経験表」を研究対象とし、「小児看護技術経験表」の経験結果に記載された経験レベルの自己評価を単純集計し分析した。 その結果、108項目のうち、指導監視下あるいは単独で実施できたと回答した学生の割合が9割以上であった項目は19項目で、2017年度の結果の23項目より減少していた。新型コロナ感染症での実習においても指導監視下あるいは単独で実施できたと回答した学生の割合が9割以上であった項目においては、限られた患児や家族との関わる機会をより良いものにするよう、学生の事前の準備への意識も高くなっていた可能性があることが示唆された。 今回と2017年度との実習と比較して経験に違いがある項目については、新型コロナ感染症での実習における状況や経験の変化、関わる児や家族の状況の変化にも影響を受けている可能性があることを示唆された。
