sevenband grouper Epinephelus septemfasciatus monocyte granule staining characteristics
Staining characteristics of monocyte minor granules (MmG) in sevenband grouper, Epinephelus septemfasciatus were examined by light microscopy. The color of MmG (reddish purple with May-Grünwald(MG) and MG-Giemsa) was orthochromatic after staining with EY and MB. This result indicates that the reddish purple color of MmG were not metachromtic by basic dye (MB), but formed by combination of EY and MB.
