本稿は､教育方法としての“実際的な体験”の一つである｢弦楽器(バンドーラ)作りと合奏｣を取りあげ､この体験活動がどのようなものか､その教育的な意義はいかなるものか､について明らかにする｡弦楽器(バンドーラ)作りと合奏の活動の教育的意義として､道具･工具を使ってモノを作る楽しさ､時間をかけ苦労や困難を乗り越えて作品を完成させることによって得る深い達成感や感激､友人との助け合いおよび子どもと教師の厚い信頼関係の構築などを挙げることができる｡
