            history of Chinese characters
It is known that Japanese kanji characters originate from the Chinese language. But modern Chinese pronunciation is quite different from Japanese kanji characters’ pronunciation. Therefore it is the cause of some difficulties for both, Japanese who learn the Chinese language and Chinese who learn the Japanese language. But because modern Chinese pronunciation and Japanese kanji characters’ pronunciation have something in common, we can put them to practical use. For Japanese students the distinction between /-ng/ and /-n/ is very difficult. And so I create new theories from the structure and history of Chinese characters. ・ When the end of a modern Japanese kanji characters’ pronunciation is /-u/(/-i/) in kan-on and go-on, and is /-n/ in to-in, the end of that modern Chinese characters’ pronunciation is always /-ng/. ・ When the end of a modern Japanese kanji characters’ pronunciation is /-n/ in kan-on go-on and to-in, the end of that modern Chinese characters’ pronunciation is always /-n/. This is a very simple fact, but this is a very important theory to apply to the education of Chinese pronunciation.
