    Recently, a teaching approach called Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) has been recognized in the Japanese education system. The purpose of this paper is to go over its main features and assess how the CLIL approach affected 41 junior students in a Japanese university was identified.Both the advantages and difficulties of applying CLIL in the classroom are clarified.
