This study examined how successfully the extensive reading programs were implemented in English courses at Baiko Gakuin University. A questionnaire consisting of 21 items was conducted to 166 first and second year students. As a result,two factors,“Feeling of Achievement” and “Pleasure of Reading,” were found and the implications of those factors were significantly different depending on whether or not the students were majoring in English.
