The Taiwanese learning Japanese is very weak in hearing "seidaku", which is the difference between voiced consonants and voiceless consonants.Because mandarin Chinese,which is their mother tongue,does not have a difference between voiced consonants and voiceless consonants, and has a difference between aspirated consonants and non‐aspirated consonants, which Japanese does not have.I examined that,in hearing Japanese "seidaku",Taiwanese is affected by a difference between aspirated consonants and non-aspirated consonants. As a result,when there is the line of "Ta" at the head of "kango" , which is Chinese loanwords,Taiwanese confused non‐aspirated consonants with voiced consonants in hearing. But they did not confuse other words. And when there is the line of "Ka" and "Ta", Which are voiceless consonants,in the middle of words, Taiwanese often confused the line of "Ga" and "Da", which are voiced consonants. Furthermore,they easily caught the difference between the line of ″Sa" and "Za",and it was slightly difflcult for them to distinguish between the line of "Pa" and "Ba".
