Analyzing “Manchuria” Through Films : Center on Sports of “Ying Chunhua”

株式会社満洲映画協会（以下満映と略）は、1937年から1945年までの8年間に大量の映画を作った。製作作品には、当時の「満洲」における社会文化の諸要素が多く取り入れられており、「満洲国」の社会の実態を究明する貴重な映像資料である。これらの映画は日本の敗戦とともに散逸し、最近各地で発見されるにつれて研究も徐々に増えつつある。その研究の多くは国策映画としてプロパガンダ性が強調されているか、あるいは、元満映社員の自伝や回想録などの分析が主である。本稿ではそれらの先行研究を踏まえて、現存の満映の代表作品である『迎春花』を研究対象とし、映画に出ている「スケート」、「ホッケー」、「スピード・スケート」、「フィギュア・スケート」、「剣道」、「テニス」、「ゴルフ」、「踢毽子（ティージェンズ）（羽根蹴り）」や「ソリ遊び」など、当時の「満洲」におけるスポーツを分析し、映画の製作目的を究明するとともに「満洲国」の社会実態の一面を明らかにする。 : Manchuria Film Association Co., Ltd was established in 1937 and terminated in 1945. Although more than one thousand films were produced during that time, only more than twenty of them survived and exist till now. These existing films took place in Manchuria, integrating with a great amount of social life. Based on the study of the film “Yingchunhua”, this article attempts to represent the society Manchuria through the analysis of sports elements appearing in the film.
