本研究は、教職に関する科目「道徳教育の研究」の講義において、教職志望の学生の実践的指導力を高めるための示唆を、実際の道徳教育実践事例に求めることを目的としている。現在、わが国の小学校・中学校における道徳教育は、年間35週の「道徳の時間」が特設されているが、全面主義を前提に展開されている。そのため、「道徳の時間」は常に各教科、特別活動、「総合的な学習の時間」(以下、「総合学習」とする)といった学習領域との相互関連性を考慮しながら、指導を展開しなければならない。本研究では、こうした道徳教育の原理が実際にどのように展開されているかを、S市立K小学校の「心に響く道徳教育」実践事例への分析を通して明らかにした。K小学校では、年度当初に作成される道徳教育年間指導計画が特別活動や「総合学習」等の内容とリンクする形で作成されると同時に、指導過程で児童・生徒の実態に合わせて題材へのアプローチを変化させていた。以上のことから、道徳教育の実践的指導力を高めるには、「道徳の時間」と、各教科や特別活動、「総合学習」等の他の学習領域における指導とが、時間軸に沿って並行する形で進行することを、図や表を用いてイメージさせること、また一つの題材や読み物資料を巡って、それを扱う時期や児童・生徒の実態についていくつかの異なる状況を提示し、それに応じてアプローチの仕方を変化させる訓練をすることが重要であると言える。 : The purpose of this paper is to suggest ways of enhancing the practical teaching skills of students taking the Study of Moral Education as part of the teacher certification program, by analyzing actual case studies. At present, Moral Education classes at elementary and secondary schools in Japan are taught for 35 weeks a year. The principle of Moral Education, as it is currently taught at these schools, is that it should be integrated throughout the entire school curriculum. Therefore, teachers must always consider how Moral Education classes are interconnected with other fields. such as each individual subjects, Special Activities, and Integrated Lessons. This study demonstrates how this principle is actually achieved, through an analysis of Inspirational Moral Education taught at K Elementary School in S City. At the beginning of the school year, teachers create the Annual Moral Education Teaching Plan in a way that clearly illustrates how the content of Moral Education is connected with that of other subjects, Special Activities, and Integrated Lessons in this school. Moreover, teachers modify how they approach the teaching materials throughout the course of the year, depending on the specific situation and their pupils' progress. We can apply several lessons learnt from this case study to the instruction of practical teaching skills for students at a university. First, in order to cultivate students' practical teaching skills, it is important to help students visualize how Moral Education classes progress parallel with other subjects, Special Activities, and Integrated Lessons through the use of diagram and charts. Second, it is also crucial to train students in how to take different approaches to the teaching of Moral Education depending on the pupils' current abilities and specific situation.
